What Is the Process to Activate CTV on Roku, Fire TV, Android, Apple TV?


CTV is Canada’s one of the most-watched television networks. It has various channels that give top content, from news programs to entertaining TV shows.

Moreover, this has a wide library of episodic videos, new and iconic fan-favorite shows that push boundaries and celebrate pop culture. Before you watch Canadian TV, first you will have to activate the service on your device.

You need a TV subscription to watch CTV content. In different words, you require to subscribe to a participating TV provider and use the documents to activate CTV on your device.

To activate CTV on Android TV follow the steps below:-

Scroll the apps on the Home screen of your Android TV.
Select the google play store app.
Search for CTV News.
You need to set your Google Play Store to the Canadian store to locate CTV.
When you find the app select it.
Click on install and wait till the installation is complete.
Open the CTV App on your Android TV.
Click on the sign-in button in the account management section.
You will see an activation code.
Go to ctv.ca/activate on a web or mobile browser.

Apple TV


Follow the steps below to activate CTV on Apple TV:-

Firstly, open the App Store on your Apple TV.
Then, browse for the CTV News app.
After that, click on the Get button to download and install the app.
Nextly, open the CTV News app.
Choose sign-in from the navigation bar.
Then, the activation code will appear.
Visit ctv.ca/appletv on your browser.
Insert the activation code visible on your TV screen.
If you are currently a subscriber then sign in to your TV provider.
Put your documents, including your email and password.
You will see a successful message on your screen if it’s done correctly.
Go back to your Apple TV.

Roku

Click on the Home button on your Roku remote.
Open the channel store by choosing streaming channels.
Find the CTV news.
Click Add channel to install the channel on your Roku device.
Insert your Roku account PIN if asked. After the installation, the channel will be visible on the home screen.
Launch the CTV news channel.
Click on the sign-in button.
Then, the activation code will appear.

Samsung Smart TV



CTV is available on Samsung Smart TVs through the Samsung Smart Hub. You can activate the service on the device just follow the steps given below:-

Firstly, press the home button on your Samsung remote.

Choose APPS.

Click on the search icon in the top right corner.

Insert the term CTV News.

Choose the app once you find it.

Click on install.

After that, to open the app you need to go to the home page.

Click on the app to open it.

Choose sign-in.

CTV is not working? How to fix

Here are the steps if CTV is not working:-

Firstly, uninstall the app and reinstall it.
Then, Change the plug-in in your Chrome browser if it has crashed or stopped working. 
After that, make sure that you have entered the correct login credentials.
Your TV subscription might not include all the channels within the CTV site and app.
Also, check your internet connectivity.
There can also be reasons for CTV is not working because the content you are trying to watch may be not available or restricted because of broadcasting rights. If you still experience difficulty, contact CTV support services at help@ctv.ca.
